At first, I was hesitant to say what this blog is about. Nat and I spend so many hours analyzing topics as varied as mindfulness, minimalism, finance, food, nutrition, history, that it's hard to see the intersection.
But a few weeks ago, we had an 'a-ha' moment. We heard Naomi Starkman of Civil Eats talk about her path to starting an award-winning publication. At one point she said:
"Food is the lens through which we see the world"
Church bells rang. Light bulbs illuminated above our heads. Hairs on our necks started a dance party like it was 1999. Yes, that is us, folks. Everything we think about eventually returns to food.
Which is the reason we're starting this site. At the very least, this is just a place for us to record our thoughts, share recipes and tips, and catalog things that encourage us to make food a central part of our lives.
At best, this site becomes a resource. A starting point to empower people to make decisions, and ask questions for themselves, particularly about food.
